Congratulations to Dr. So Mi Kim, postdoctoral fellow at the MU School of Information Science & Learning Technologies, for receiving the Outstanding Journal Article Award in the Research and Theory Division from the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT).
Kim and co-author, Michael Hannafin (Educational Technology, University of Georgia), received the award for their article titled, “The effects of source representation and goal instructions on college students’ information evaluation behavior change.” Their research was featured in the journal, Computers in Human Behavior.
AECT is a professional association of thousands of educators and others whose activities are directed toward improving instruction through technology. Their members carry out a wide range of responsibilities in the study, planning, application, and production of communications media for instruction.
Kim and Hannafin received the award during AECT’s International Convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
