Attend the December ALSC Community Forum on Partnerships

[ALSC President Starr LaTronica] In December, the ALSC Board of Directors and ALSC President Starr LaTronica will be hosting two ALSC Community Forum live chats with a special emphasis on partnerships: how to create, grow, and sustain partnerships in the library.

The ALSC Liaisons to National Organizations Committee will provide discussion questions for the forum. In addition to the 45 minutes of discussion, these forums will include quick announcements from the ALSC Fall Division Leadership Meeting and a time for questions at the end.

Your two opportunities to join in the discussion are:

  • Monday, December 2 at 11am CT
  • Tuesday, December 3 at 3pm CT

Directions on Using Adobe Connect

ALSC Community Forums take place in Adobe Connect. The first ten minutes will include live audio from ALSC President Starr LaTronica but the rest of the conversation will include an opportunity for attendees to participate in live text-chat.

ALSC members can access the chat via the two links below:

Adobe Connect is a web-based meeting software. To improve your results you can test your meeting connection before the event.  These events are only meant for personal ALSC members. As these forums are a benefit to members, ALSC asks that you do not share these links with anyone else.

Visit the ALSC Community Forum site for more information about using Adobe Connect. There are also links to previous ALSC Community Forums chats. Questions? Contact ALSC Marketing/Membership Manager Dan Rude by email, drude@ala.org or by phone, 800-545-2433 ext 2164.

Participate via Twitter!

Members who cannot participate in the live chat can submit questions via email (Dan Rude, drude@ala.org) or Twitter (use the hashtag #alscforum). These questions will be submitted to the President and the Board of Directors if time permits.

Can’t Make It? View the Webcast Afterwards

For those who can’t attend live, ALSC will provide a recorded webcast. Information for accessing the webcast will be provided after the live chat is over. Members will have continuing access to prior chat transcripts via ALA Connect.
